  2. [SOLVED] Re: Never-ending "Software updates installed" notification. How can I remove it?

I kinda want to remove it altogether. It came in when I installed (flatpak) lutris. I do most of my installing and updating through command line but I didn't want to mess up Lutris.

  4. [SOLVED] Re: Never-ending "Software updates installed" notification. How can I remove it?

I don't know if this will apply to you. When I installed Ubuntu, I had to disable RST in the BIOS settings and set it to AHCI in order to get the Ubuntu installer to boot. If I try to boot Windows...
  9. Re: What happened to the Ubuntu community?

Linux is definitely a geek's OS but you don't really need to be a software programmer or super-hacker to get it to work like some people may think.

[ubuntu] Re: Second monitor not detected

Does the shorter HDMI cable still work? I have a 10 meter HDMI cable that only works on some computers and not on others. My last laptop would only work with it if it was plugged into the charger.

I will give that a try, It looks like it's going to take a long time to complete the test.
