Thank you very much. I really appreciate it!
Hi,
I've been somewhat active on the forums since April 18th, 2008 as darth-vader which used to match my wiki-name and launchpad id. I've switched all of those to Rohan Kapoor (my real name) and...
You see, I'm on gnome and as far as I can tell, there is no corresponding package and I'm not switching to KDE just for this.
I would think powersaving would come straight up if you can get it to...
To those of you who are looking for the exact information.
Here is a link to the synergy+ thread
http://code.google.com/p/synergy-plus/issues/detail?id=112
I can confirm that the problem is that there is no support for either gnome-screensaver or kde-screensaver. Synergy is only sending the signal to xscreensaver which none of us are actually using...
Any ideas people?
Hey, first delete the partitions that you want gone. Right click and hit delete or remove partition.
Then you need to hit the apply button and then wait while it deletes the partitions. Next you...
Nothing is wrong with your RAM. All 32bit can only use 3gb of RAM. They will say it's there but won't use any extra.
ATI is still heavily unsupported in Ubuntu. I would personally buy an nVidia.
Synce is actually pretty good.
For a while I just used to sync all tasks, contacts, and calenders with my X1 but then I switched over to google apps and as such am only syncing tasks with...
Yes. That is fine.
It seems that the microphone port on my Compaq Presario V2000 laptop won't work under Ubuntu. Any version of Ubuntu. I first used Ubuntu since Feisty and dualbooted with Windows XP. In windows the...
I'm using the Sony Ericcson XPERIA X1 (running Windows Mobile 6.1), it syncs perfectly with SYNCE and if that's not your style you can sync with google sync and use imap to keep evolution's mail in...
As said above, an update WILL BREAK the install. You will need to make a new one using the USB Startup Creator. However, standard programs work fine.
All I'm getting is the garbage. Even after switching with Crtl f1 and ctrl f7. Any ideas?
I also have the same problem on 9.04 with Ubuntu! Any ideas?
Hi! This works as well in 9.04! My question now is how to get the light to continue functioning after a suspend/resume. Currently I have to reboot to get it working, :(
Any ideas?
Hate to bump old threads but was just wondering if anyone was able to get this working on 9.04?
It would work, yes.
Change the mtu and you should be fine. Recently I got a windows mobile 6.1 device (Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1) and it needs the same.
I believe it should be automatic! But don't have mine yet to test with!
I made a similar error myself like that. I just ended up installing ubuntu again (it was time to move to 8.10 anyways :D)
I feel dumb, How did I completely miss that?
YOU ARE THE MAN!!! My sound had been dead after a massive update (more than 200) and I was getting pissed off (really pissed off), I read this post and it solved my problems.
Thanks so much!
Ah allright, you know before you do a distribution upgrade you need to install all the normal ones, do that then do
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
in a terminal which should guide you through your...
