Re: TOP 10: Your Top Ten Packages To Install

That's exactly why I'm still following it even though it's been months since I originally saw it. When I had finally read every post, that's when I made my first comment (a few weeks ago).

Re: TOP 10: Your Top Ten Packages To Install

    1. build-essential - it should really come with it by now.
    2. propriety video drivers - ati or nvidia, they both actually work now

  8. Re: How To Get On Kazaa, Ares, Gift and Gnutella in one program

Do you have encryption turned on for FastTrack somewhere? I'd check my .conf files b/c:
    $ cat giftd.log|grep encryption
    returns nothing for me.
  9. Re: How To Get On Kazaa, Ares, Gift and Gnutella in one program

I didn't do anything other than what the howto directed to do. FastTrack always connects for me, but usually after its open about a few hours. The only room I see for differences is how we all...
  10. Re: How To Get On Kazaa, Ares, Gift and Gnutella in one program

I followed these instructions and GNUtella connects INSTANTLY now. Hotness!
  11. Re: How To Get On Kazaa, Ares, Gift and Gnutella in one program

That's crazy... We're all using the same configuration and the only one that connects for me is FastTrack; nothing else. Def don't have the two that you have.
  12. Re: How To Get On Kazaa, Ares, Gift and Gnutella in one program

Did you see if it worked yet? Mine hasn't connected still.
  13. Re: How To Get On Kazaa, Ares, Gift and Gnutella in one program

Just to add my two cents.... I followed the instructions as originally posted, and the only network that connected for me was FastTrack. After a few hours, I tried the new ares node list file, and...

    Re: Swiftfox, a faster Firefox

Any ideas as to what version to use for an Athlon 64-bit processor that's using a generic 32-bit kernel? Would getting the 64bit version of swiftfox be beneficial if my kernel is only 32?

I've been compiling downloaded software for months now, with little problems. I went to compile some homework of mine a second ago and got this error,
