In the Software & Updates program, tab Ubuntu Software, uncheck the cdrom at the bottom. Unneeded at this point.

Re: Upgrading from 20.04.6 to 22.04 LTS

    I don't see any attempt to `apt upgrade`, or even `apt full-upgrade`.

The `sudo apt update` command (or `sudo apt-get update` you used) will only update the software lists, so your machine is aware of what upgrades are available, but those found upgraded packages are not applied until you command it.

The `sudo apt upgrade` will apply the previously discovered upgrades; though there are certain cases where upgrades cannot be applied (package removals need occur; you need to confirm you're happy for this), thus the `apt full-upgrade` command exists to show you're happy for the upgrades to delete packages too (where required; full upgrade does the upgrade; see https://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages...an8/apt.8.html or `man apt`).

For removing the installation media; refer to ubfan1's response; or https://askubuntu.com/questions/7767...-have-a-releas may also be helpful.

To see my Installation Media, I need to go to the Other Software tab.

I'll suggest clicking the Other Software tab, as you show only the Ubuntu Software tab.
