Exclamation [SOLVED] Sound Card & headphones issue

    Hello,

I have an Acer Aspire AS5920-6313 notebook and have installed Ubuntu on it. Everything so far is awesome except for the fact that when I plug in my headphones the sound still comes out of the speakers. I can't recall if there was an error message when I installed Ubuntu but this is where I'm at now. Other than that this laptop seems to support Ubuntu pretty well. Is there a fix or something I can do, this way i can fully utilize headphones? Will there be a fix? Is there something I Can do to fix this annoying problem?

    Thanks

Try running alsamixer and press 'm' on the various channels.

For some reasomn I have to mute (mute, not lower the volume) "Front" to only use the headphones.

I acutally like it though. This way the sound is main speakers is still muted if I unplug the headphones.

Wow, thats a pretty sweet fix.
Hopefully the problem gets fixed though, but this'll do for now.
